Grandparents - Kramer

Few photographic records survived two world wars, a Bolshevik revolution, three foreign army occupations and the general ravages of wars and conflicts.

The earliest surviving photograph of your grandfather (1905 - 1984) is this one, taken in 1934 in France. (He is on the right.)

There is only one prewar picture of your grandmother (1915 - 1989), taken c. 1941, with me and my brother (Bela) also in the picture.

The only other pre World War Two photo to survive of your grandpa is this one, taken in City Park in May 1944 (he is on the right).

This photo was taken of your grandpa in 1950 .

First reunion since 1956. Day trip to Cambridge - 1965.

1965 was the year when Alex was born and here are some pictures of your grandfather admiring his grandson and relaxing in the garden of the house at Woodcroft Avenue

Grandma came to visit the following year, 1966. Anna and Julia, do you remember the identical frocks she brought you? You are wearing them in the zoo picture.

Your grandpa c.1970, 1973 and 1975

And a picture of your grandma, c. 1974-75,
on a visit to the Kramers in Vancouver.
